George Miars practices in the firm’s Charleston, South Carolina office. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Davidson College in 2001 and his J.D. degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2005, where he served as Research Editor of the South Carolina Law Review.
He practices exclusively in the area of workers’ compensation defense, representing employers, insurance carriers, and government entities. George frequently speaks and lectures on workers’ compensation matters and workplace liability to employers and insurance carriers, both statewide and nationally. George was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 2005 and is a member of The South Carolina Bar Association and the South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Educational Association. He has been listed in South Carolina Super Lawyers for workers’ compensation defense.
Outside of the office, George is a soccer and tennis Dad, and enjoyer of all things on the water. He lives in Isle of Palms with his wife, Katie, and three children.
