SOUTH CAROLINA, NORTH CAROLINA, GEORGIA – The South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Commission approved the maximum weekly compensation rate at $963.37 for injuries arising on and after January 1, 2022.  As provided in Title 42 of the SC Code of Laws, the maximum weekly compensation rate equals 66 2/3% of an individual’s average weekly wage, not to exceed the average weekly wage in SC for the preceding fiscal year as determined by the South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce.

The North Carolina Industrial Commission approved the maximum weekly benefit for 2022 pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 97-29.  Effective January 1, 2022, the maximum weekly benefit applicable to all injuries and claims arising on and after January 1, 2022, will be $1,184.00.

Georgia maximum rates remain unchanged at $675.00 per week for TTD and $450.00 per week for TPD.
