“Katelyn (Kate) M. Johnson practices liability litigation defense in the firm’s Columbia, South Carolina, office. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Baylor University and her Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law. Kate was admitted to the South Carolina bar in 2023, and she is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association.

During law school, Kate advanced her leadership skills through her role as Staff Development Editor of the ABA Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Journal. Additionally, she was recognized for her advocacy abilities by earning the CALI Award for her work in the Veterans Legal Clinic. Throughout law school, Kate made the Dean’s List and participated in other programs, including being a Law Student Ambassador, a Peer Mentor, and a member of Phi Delta Phi legal honor society.

Kate was born and raised in Southlake, Texas, but she now calls Columbia home. When Kate is not working, she enjoys spending time exploring restaurants and attending community events with her husband, Bryant. She also likes to read and lead an active lifestyle. While she usually cheers on the Gamecocks, Kate remains an avid supporter of the Baylor Bears at heart.”
