Johnnie W. Baxley, III, practices in the firm’s Charleston, South Carolina office and serves as the office’s Managing Attorney. He received his undergraduate degree from the College of Charleston and his J.D. degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law where he was a member of the South Carolina Law Review, the Moot Court Bar, and the Order of Barristers. He practices in the area of Workers’ Compensation Defense and is a Certified SC Civil Court Mediator.
He was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 1995 and is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association and the South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Educational Association. He holds an AV Preeminent rating from LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell indicating the highest level of ethical and professional excellence from both his peers and the judiciary. He has been named to US News Best Lawyers® for Workers’ Compensation Law in 2011-2022.
A lifelong resident of South Carolina, Johnnie lives in Mt. Pleasant with his wife, Michelle, and their two daughters, Madison and Peyton. Johnnie is very active with the College of Charleston, serving on multiple boards. He enjoys traveling, fishing, boating, and spending time with his family.
