Madison T. Hawkins is an attorney in the firm’s Charleston, South Carolina office. Madison earned her Bachelor of Science, magna cum laude, from East Carolina University and her Juris Doctorate degree, cum laude, from the University of South Carolina School of Law. While in law school, Madison was a member of the Order of the Wig and Robe and the South Carolina Moot Court Bar. She also earned the CALI Award for Excellence in Legal Research, Analysis & Writing II and Wills, Trusts & Estates. As a member of the Moot Court Bar, Madison was a finalist in the JWL Moot Court Competition and was awarded Best Brief by the Justices of the South Carolina Supreme Court for her submission.
Prior to joining the firm, Madison’s practice focused on state and federal workers’ compensation, including concurrent jurisdiction claims arising under the South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Act and the Longshore & Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act. Madison is now a member of the South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Educational Association. She has been named U.S. News Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® for 2025 for Workers’ Compensation Law.
Originally from Hickory, North Carolina, Madison now lives in Charleston with her goldendoodle, Charlie. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, going to the beach, and Carolina Panthers football.
