Kristen K. Coble practices workers’ compensation defense in the firm’s Columbia, South Carolina office. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in History, magna cum laude, from North Carolina State University where she was a member of the Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society. Kristen studied the Italian Renaissance at the Scuola Lorenzo de’ Medici in Florence, Italy. She earned her Master of Arts in Teaching from North Carolina State University. Prior to law school, she was a teacher.
Kristen earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law, cum laude, where she completed the children’s law concentration. She received the highest overall score award in the joint journal competition. Kristen was a member of the South Carolina Law Review, served as the Symposium Editor, and her student note was chosen for publication. She was selected as a pupil member of the John Belton O’Neall Inn of Court. She received the CALI Award for Excellence in Food and Drug Law and the Rule of Law Seminar.
After law school, Kristen clerked for The Honorable George C. James Jr., South Carolina Supreme Court. Kristen was also a Staff Attorney and the Senior Staff Attorney at the South Carolina Supreme Court.
Outside of the office, Kristen enjoys spending time with her family and volunteering in the community.
