Jamie E. Rudd practices workers’ compensation defense in the firm’s Raleigh, North Carolina office. A Raleigh native, Jamie earned her undergraduate degrees in History and Political Science from Elon University before receiving her Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina School of Law. During her time at UNC Law, Jamie demonstrated a strong commitment to leadership and academic excellence, serving on the Pro Bono Board, working as Symposium Editor for the First Amendment Law Review, and competing on the Executive Board of Holderness Moot Court. In recognition of her academic and personal achievements, she was inducted into the prestigious James E. and Carolyn B. Davis Society.
Jamie handles workers’ compensation matters from initial filing through final resolution, regularly defending clients before the North Carolina Industrial Commission and various administrative forums. Her exceptional track record and dedication to the defense bar have earned her recognition as a North Carolina Super Lawyer. Renowned for her responsiveness and meticulous attention to detail, Jamie partners with employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators (TPAs) across North Carolina to deliver efficient, cost-effective resolutions to claims. Jamie is admitted to practice before all North Carolina state and federal courts and maintains active membership in the American, North Carolina, and Wake County Bar Associations.
Beyond workers’ compensation, Jamie brings a robust litigation background to the firm. She has extensive experience representing businesses and insurers in state and federal courts, handling commercial litigation, business disputes, and employment matters. Prior to joining WJCB, she practiced consumer financial services law—experience that provides her with a deep, sophisticated understanding of risk management, compliance, and corporate dispute resolution.
