Laura C. Tesh is a workers’ compensation defense attorney practicing in the firm’s Greenville, South Carolina office. She received her B.A. cum laude in Philosophy with a Business Administration minor from the University of South Carolina Honors College in 1991, her M.A. in Medical Ethics (Philosophy) from Georgetown University in 1995, and her J.D. cum laude from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2000. During her time at USC Law, she was in the top 5% of her class and was an academic scholarship recipient. She was a member of Law Review, the Order of the Wig and Robe, and the Order of the Coif, and received the CALI award for The Constitution.
Laura was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 2000 and clerked for the Honorable John D. Geathers at the South Carolina Administrative Law Court and the Honorable H. Samuel Stilwell at the South Carolina Court of Appeals. She is further admitted to practice in the United States District Court (District of South Carolina) and the United States Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. Laura is now a member of the South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Educational Association.
Laura was raised mainly in South Carolina. She moved to Greenville in 2019 after living in Columbia for 20 years. She is married to Adam Tesh, collections attorney, and they have two children. She also has one dog, three cats, and one bunny, all very spoiled. A life-long Anglican, Laura is on the board of the South Carolina Knitting Guild. She knits constantly and reads nonfiction voraciously. She also enjoys hiking and kayaking with her family.
