Alexa M. Tattersall practices in the firm’s Columbia, South Carolina office. She received her B.A. in Political Science from UCLA in 2015. She graduated cum laude from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where she received her J.D. and a Children’s Law Certificate. Alexa earned the CALI award for excellence in Legal Research, Analysis & Writing. In law school, Alexa served as an intern to the Honorable John W. Kittredge at the Supreme Court of South Carolina. She was active in moot court, earning the opportunity to argue as a competition finalist before the South Carolina Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of South Carolina. Alexa was named to the Order of Barristers, and earned the “Best Brief” and “Best Oral Advocate” recognitions. She was the Chief Justice of the Moot Court Bar and was also a member of the school’s American Bar Association National Appellate Advocacy Competition team. Alexa was a student member of the John Belton O’Neall Inn of Court, a legal research, analysis, and writing tutor for law students, and Guardian ad Litem while in law school. She also served on the editorial board for the Journal of Law and Education.

Alexa is a member of the South Carolina Bar, the Richland County Bar Association, and the South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Educational Association. Prior to joining the firm, she was a Staff Attorney for the Supreme Court of South Carolina.

Alexa is licensed to practice before all state courts in South Carolina, as well as the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.

Born and raised in southern California, Alexa now calls Lexington, South Carolina home. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Chance, and her four rescue pets (Lewis, Lincoln, Lily, and Laney).
